A dental assessment is the first step in helping you to maintain and restore the health of your teeth. A dental check-up gives us a comprehensive picture of the current condition of your teeth and gums, so we can detect hidden problems early enough to cause more serious problems later.
Who should take the general check up?
A dental check up is recommended for anyone who wants to keep their teeth healthy. It is particularly important for people who have not been to the dentist for a long time or who want to prevent more serious dental procedures.
What will happen during the general check up?
The assessment at Trendo Dental is done in an unconventional way. This is where our person-centred dentistry begins, as we want to see you in your full reality and show you the broad spectrum of our holistic approach. Teeth are components of our body, located in our oral cavity, in a complex system of muscles, joints and skeleton. Therefore, when assessing the condition of your teeth, you can’t just look at the teeth, because the environment around them and the person themselves can tell you a lot.
As we conduct the health check:
Dental Examination: The dentist will thoroughly examine your teeth and gums to detect any visible lesions
Panoramic X-ray: A full X-ray is taken to help detect problems that are not visible to the naked eye, such as tooth decay or other bone lesions.
Tooth and gum scan: A modern scanner is used to get an accurate, 3D image of the condition of your teeth and gums.
Facial photos and videos: as part of the aesthetic design, we take facial photos and videos to help you plan your dental treatments.
Dentist’s opinion: based on all the test results, we will give you a personalised plan to help you keep your teeth healthy in the longterm.
What happens after the assessment?
After the assessment, we will create a personalised treatment plan that takes into account all the diagnostic results. At Trendo Dental, dentists from all specialties attend weekly case meetings, so we can involve different specialties if necessary to create the best treatment plan for you. This ensures that all dental problems are in the best possible hands, with your overall health in mind.
In the event that the dentist finds a problem during the assessment that is unique to his or her area of expertise, an appointment can be made to treat the problem. If we need to make a multidisciplinary plan, we will contact you after a week to discuss a further treatment plan.
How much does the general check up cost?
The general check up, which includes a dental examination and diagnostic tests, costs 30 000.- HUF at Trendo Dental. If the treatment plan is complex and involves several specialties, we will make an appointment for a consultation after the assessment in one week to explain the necessary interventions. The fee for this “Consultation following assessment (presentation of a complex treatment plan, delivery of a written draft)” is 20 000.- HUF.
The assessment usually takes between 45 and 60 minutes.
Is the check up painful?
The assessment is completely painless. There are no invasive procedures involved, only diagnostic procedures such as X-rays and scans.
Do all age groups need a general check up?
Yes, all ages are recommended to have a health check. For children, it is important to monitor the development of teeth and jaws every six months, while for adults and the elderly, screening is recommended at least once a year to detect caries, gum disease or other oral problems in time. For the elderly, it is particularly important to check for prostheses and implants and to treat periodontal diseases in time.
How often should I have a check up?
Once a year is recommended, but more frequent check-ups may be necessary for those with dental problems.
How do I prepare for the check up?
There is no need for any special preparation, the tests can be done immediately.
What happens if a problem is found during the assessment?
If any problems are found, we will discuss the next steps with you in detail and draw up a personalised treatment plan.
Can I get immediate treatment during the assessment?
The primary purpose of the assessment is to establish a diagnosis. However, in an emergency, immediate intervention is possible if necessary.
